A site to know everything about cosmetics ingredients
On Tuesday 20 May, the European Commission announced the creation of a new database listing more than 15,000 ingredients used in cosmetics.
Called "Cosing" (concentration of the terms Cosmetics ingredients), this database allows everyone to check, online, the European regulations concerning any ingredient used in a beauty product.
The opinions of the Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP) on these ingredients are also available on this site.
The website will be updated regularly. In fact, according to the Commission's press release, " cosmetics replace or modify the formula of nearly 25% of their products each year ",.
