Discover the trend of pearl tea or bubble tea

Bubble tea, also known as "bubble tea" or "boba", was born in the 1980s in Taiwan. Since then, this drink thirst quenches the countries one after the other. And that's good, she finally arrives in France!
As its name suggests, bubble tea is a drink tea-based, which contains not bubbles but black tapioca pearls. For tasting, we slide a large straw in the glass to suck the balls and savor the cocktail.
It can be plain or sweet, with a touch of milk or not, and served hot, cold or iced, according to your desire.

How to prepare a bubble tea?
To make a bubble tea, you need green or black tea. And pearls from Japan, a kind of tapioca produced from cassava flour.
Cook them in a pan of boiling water for about 30 minutes. By heating, the pearls, slightly sweet, will become brown and gelatinous.
Drop it in the bottom of a glass. Then, in a shaker, pour the tea and perfume it. For that, instead of syrups! Mango, lime, strawberry ... Give free rein to your imagination! As for the aromas, they range from fruits, spices, aromatic herbs or sweets. Add ice cubes for a hit version. Shake and it's ready! All that remains is to pour the mixture into the glass on the tapioca pearls. And to slip a wide straw for tasting.

And for a softer version?
Depending on the recipe, you can also add a little milk to soften the preparation. Opt for soy milk, coconut milk or even almonds. And to flavor the cocktail, use flavored powders. To you the pineapple-coconut bubble tea! The taste is not sweet enough? Add a little sugar, honey or agave syrup.
Finally, do not hesitate to make cocktails known as a mojito, a sunrise tequila or a virgin colada like bubble tea. Or decorate your cookie creations such as speculos or cookies for a crunchy result. And you too succumb to bubble fever!
