Veer-Zaara, an impossible love to Bollywood

Production : Yash Chopra
Actors: Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta
Released April 26

Driver and rescuer in the Indian Air Force, Veer risk his life to save that of others. Until the day he rescues a girl, Zaara, who left his native Pakistan to come to India to fulfill the last wishes of his Indian "nanny".

Despite some lengths (the long clip of the beginning of the film, shot in a setting of Austrian mountain pastures, does not really matter to history), lovers of "Bollywood" films will be delighted to find in Veer-Zaara all the ingredients essential to the staging of this story can not be more romantic: a young Pakistani girl, beautiful, rebellious and betrothed to a rich bourgeois of his country, falls in love with a young Indian man, beautiful, idealistic and living modestly. This impossible love story unfolds against a background of strained relations between India and Pakistan.

After a slow first part (the film lasts more than 3 hours!), We get caught up in the actors' game (including the beautiful Shah Rukh Khan, indisputable star of Indian cinema), who manage to interpret and "cohabit" on the screen of the characters in the flower of their youth and the same, 22 years later, aged and bruised by the tests. Everyone stands out in this show with beautiful scenery, songs and choreography. The scenario reserves a nice surprise at the end ...
