Franck Dubosc this time embodies Didier Graindorge, a 40-year-old unemployed man who lives with his mother and has to find a way to offer a "worthy" holiday to his son who lives in England with his ex-wife.
Didier Graindorge, aka Didier Travolta, decides to join his former group of Bee Kings to win a disco dance competition whose jackpot is a trip to Australia.
With the help of the boss and organizer of the Gin Fizz Academy competition and the classical dance classes given by a certain France from Navarre, Didier Travolta and the Bee Kings are getting into the competition! For Disco, Fabien Onteniente wanted to offer a real social comedy, like English comedies like The Full Monty.
The cast of Disco is surprising: Emmanuelle Béart, more accustomed to the roles of composition (Nelly and Mr Arnaud, 8 Women) embarks on popular comedy. His duet with comedian and actor Franck Dubosc works well, as the actress says herself: "I really discovered someone with whom it is extremely pleasant to play".
It is Rheda who signs the choreographies interpreted by the trioFranck DuboscSamuel Le Bihan and Abbes Zahmani. Emmanuelle Béart also took up classical dance, which she had practiced "like all little girls".
The soundtrack of the film, which revolves around a mix of funk, pop or soul on a synthesizer background, was unveiled to the public on March 17: Boney M, The Jacksons Five, Gloria Gaynor, but also Christophe Willem which takes the two essential September of Earth Wind and Fire and Heartbreaker of Dionne Warwick.
