How do you imagine, the great reporter who crosses countries and wars to bring back images and information? Tanned, bearded, ragged and distant looking, no? And why not a woman? When Elisa Delacour tries the adventure, in the early 70s, the cliché is tenacious in newsrooms. A prejudice that will put a spoke in the wheels of this "little pussy". It will persevere, and chance will send it to the forefront of international conflicts.
The author, Hélène Meney, is not yet thirty, but she knows the subject well: she made a memoir on women reporters in the 70s. It is from the information gleaned then, that she drew the idea of novel. Today, she is editor-in-chief of "La France en héritage".
