The centenary of the birth of
Hergé was celebrated this year in France and Belgium. Among the many celebrations, there is the edition of a collector's box. That contains almost all the works of
Hergé.
Of
Tintin at Quick & Flupke, through Jo & Zette, the cartoonists will find in this box fourteen volumes, more than 2,000 boards and all the characters drawn by the artist.

Hergé started writing in the 20's for different media. In 1928, he became editor of the Petit Vingtième, the youth supplement of the Catholic newspaper Twentieth century.
January 10, 1929, in the 11
e Little Twentieth issue appears the first episode of
Tintin in the land of the Soviets. This is the beginning of the adventures of
Tintin and Snowy. His writings are built on a current political background.
Hergé continues to write during the Second World War.
In 1946 he created the newspaper
Tintin, springboard for many talents like Jacobs and Martin. The year 1950 sees the birth of the studio
Hergé. Very quickly,
Tintin becomes a global success. Cinema and advertising are tearing the phenomenon away.
