The tea time mode: behind the scenes of the Majestic workshops

As summer approaches and we are all looking for the perfect t-shirt or polo, we had the chance to discover the workshops Majestic, the specialist of the luxury t-shirt. Cashmere, linen, cotton or silk, to each his t-shirt.

Unlike the bling-bling trend with logo and placard marks on clothes, Majestic offers luxurious and no-frills t-shirts in quality materials.

 


 

How did the story of Majestic begin?

We created Majestic in 1989, on a simple idea, work a single-product t-shirt. We started by producing t-shirts for major brands, like Joseph but also Dior Homme, Zadig & Voltaire, Tara Jarmon, Longchamp. The start was very fast, we were very pleasantly surprised.


What is the strategy of the house?

For 3 years, we collaborated with the press but for a long time we were a small brand, which was known by word of mouth. We put everything on the quality, the product. We do everything here in our workshop, as in a sewing workshop Having a sampling workshop is our specificity and our luxury. The prototypes are assembled at home before production in factories in Europe
A t-shirt that sounds simple, yet there are multiple variants in your collection?
Cotton, double-faced cashmere cotton, silk, washed silk, aged cashmere, extra-fine viscose, soft touch wool, linen, silk linen ... the collection is more than 210 pieces.
We try to have the best quality, the most beautiful products possible. At us it's the product that makes the mark ... we try to have the best quality / price and always propose new things.

Who dresses at your place?
All generations, from fashion products to more basic products. The common point being the luxurious and quality materials

What is the importance of the press and the stars?
Penelope Cruz, Mélanie Laurent, Marion Cotillard, Diane Kruger, Estelle Lefebure ... many celebrities dress with us. We made the front page of Madame Figaro or Elle, associated with major brands, we are very happy with the work of our press officer Jean-Marc Fellous.
We think that for us the communication is only valid if the product is excellent, because today the consumers are very aware. On the other hand, we opened our first shop with exclusively our products MAJESTIC, 42 rue de Passy, ​​Paris 16, and will follow, by the end of the month the opening of a second shop at 7 rue des Francs Bourgeois.
